where it all started
Capri Gelato & Coffee Bar was born on a little island off of the Amalfi Coast called Capri. It is a land of fragrant lemon trees and the perfect coastal breeze as well as the best gelato in the world.
ROBERT & MARY
gelato chef and coffee guru
Robert is our award-winning gelato chef. He began his gelato-making career in Maui, and he loved incorporating fresh produce from local farms to make the best gelato around.
Mary has 15 years of experience working with coffee. Mary & Robert ran a successful gelato and coffee shop in Lahaina where they won awards year after year for best dessert and best coffee in Maui.

Our mission
We set out to bring a taste of Capri to California. The first Capri Gelato was served at the 2019 Golden Globe Awards. We returned to serve the stars again at the 2020 Golden Globe Awards where we launched our espresso cart. We continue to cater for clients like Amazon, Snapchat, and Gucci.

Once our events business grew, we decided to open our first Capri Gelato & Coffee Bar in Marina Del Rey. Despite the pandemic, we grew to be a favorite spot for locals to grab a coffee or treat themselves to our delicious gelato.

In June of 2022, we opened our second location over in Hermosa Beach. The beautiful town of Hermosa Beach is friendly, fun, and full of gelato lovers. We're so excited to be apart of the beautiful beach community. Stay tuned for our grand opening early next year.
We're proud to announce that we've been featured on Bobby Flay's new show, "Bobby & Sophie on the Coast." Bobby & Sophie stopped by our shop in Marina Del Rey and got to sample our amazing gelato. The episode airs on the Food Network on September 5th.
